The Culprit Club in Brisbane, Australia proudly presents 'The American Music Photo Exhibit', a ONE NIGHT ONLY international debut by highly acclaimed New York City photographer, Mel D. Cole. Spending the last 16 years documenting the hip hop scene.

The Vans OTW Collection and OffTheWall.TV introduce the next episode of OTW Perspectives which takes us behind the camera with photographer Mel D. Cole. Picking up the lens over eight years ago, Mel D. Cole has found himself at the forefront of the New York City photography scene as his gritty imagery presents raw perspectives of his subjects.

My one time adversary; Mel D. Cole stops by the loft to rap about how he started, the photo gamed and where his seemingly endless well of energy comes from. 11.2009

Like many of his subjects, photographer Mel D. Cole (aka Village Slum) learned the skills of his craft on the streets of New York City. You will always get a sense of authencity from his images, whether be in the midst of The Roots concert or a posh gallery opening in Chelsea. Rather than at his usual position behind the lens, Cole found himself as the subject of this most recent video by Levi's and Complex. Comfortably dressed in his usual Levi's gears, the photographer exhibited his casual workflow from sunrise to sunset. Better yet, the video is completely interactive, where viewers can tap and purchase a look they fancy directly from Levi's online store. As a special offer, the video allows shopper to take 15% off their total purchase on us.levi.com online store. Simply enter coupon code "COMPLEX" at the end of your purchase. The discount will be in effect from now till October 22nd
